The Bright Side.

Archetypes

This photographic project explores the development of self through my life journey. I view my life as a carousel of archetypes, approached emotionally, physically, and as psychological abstractions. Each image reflects themes life, hope, indecision, rejection, validation, loss, love, and faith, forming a visual dialogue between the personal and the collective unconscious.

Through photography, I use image-making as a way to recognise and assimilate the external world. Moments, environments, and sensory experiences are translated into visible reality, allowing internal states to be expressed through composition, light, and subject matter. The camera becomes both a tool of observation and introspection.

The project is informed by the concept of tabula rasa. The idea that identity is shaped through experience. While archetypes cannot be directly observed, photography allows their presence to be inferred through symbolism, atmosphere and narrative. This body of work seeks to make the unseen psychological landscape tangible through visual form.
